Trax, I agree with you on that. Everything I have bought or sold on here has pretty much been by PMs or email. I really meant not many knives going up for sale as opposed to " I will take it, can you post picts?" kind of activity. I think that the more common Bucks are so much cheaper than the Busse knives is one thing. When you condsider shipping as part of the total cost of a knife, if you buy a 110 for $20.00 plus $5.00 shipping you have now paid retail for the knife. So if you decide later to sell the same knife you have to lose $$ when you sell it because you can't get the $25.00 total you paid plus the additional $5.00 you have to pay to ship it to whoever buys it from you. In this instance you lose 20%. On an expensive knife although you may lose a few $$ it may only equate to 1%. I had a new 110 I got on sale for $20.00. I put it on the Buck FS forum for $25.00 shipped. No takers. Instead of losing money I returned to the store and got my $20.00 back. I have another 110 on here now. I am guessing it also will be going back to the store as opposed to being sold for a loss. I have sold 5 knives here. I broke even on one, lost money on 3 and made $5.00 on one. Just my .02 worth.

That pretty well sums up my knife business practices![]()
DaggerBlade...
I agree with all you posted. Peeps forget the cost of doing business with the shipping as part of the actual cost of the knife.
Glad I haven't had my breakfast beer yet. That chinese math of your's was giving me a headache.
Hey guys, there is an ongoing issue since Dave and everyone helped us to get the Buck sale thread separate from the other manufacturers.
So I am just curious, how does everyone feel now that the Buck only sale thread has been up for a few months?
Has it hurt Buck Knives sales- not being with the other manufacturers? Has it helped to find more Buck Knives? What are your thoughts and ideas?
Is a regular user allowed to post? welcome?
yeaks!!! i did not know any one of us made any money on a buck!!!!Make money? Nobody told me you were supposed to make money on selling knives!!!!!!!!!!!
