Buck knives in movies.

Gollum - I'm not sure. I've seen his character use a knife, but I haven't seen any of the shows where he does in so long I can't remember what it might be. We have the highlights series from every season, so I'll be on watch for it. If I can find out I'll post here.

thx - cpr

Transformers #2 . BuckMaster is used by Sam (pretty sure need to wait for DVD to confirm)to make the alien markings on/in the ground.

I can not recal the title of the movie! But the short story can make one of you remember that! "Two brothers raised by there uncle killing people in the forest with arrows and bows!In one scene a girl runing away from the brothers ,and meet some campers. The bothers kill all the campers but the girl. The girl get from one victims belt a 110 and stubs in the younger brother chest!

That was on last seasons "Criminal Minds" and was a very good show:thumbup:

In the classic movie Easy Rider, Dennis Hopper's charater carries a 110.

You get a good glimpse of it in the scene where the loosianna rednecks jump them in their camp at night. Poor Jack!

seen a Buckmaster disguised with it's handle wrapped up in a rag.
it was carried by a nasty in a 1996 SF movie called "SCREAMERS".
it stars MrRobocop himself, Peter Weller.
not the best B-grade movie in the world, but to catch a moments glimse of the Buckmaster on screen was well worth the entire horror i had to sit through...

Looks like a few brief shots of Custom 110 in Face Off with Nicolas Cage/John Travolta. I've heard NC has bought (at least) one of Leroy's Knives :)

I think, even in the newer Dukes of Hazzard, Johnny Knoxville is carrying some sort of knife on his left hip. Can't tell if it is a Buck 110. At least the sheath does not seem to be familiar.

Not a movie but in either the 2nd or 3rd episode of this season of Falling Skies the main character asks his youngest son to cut the flexcuffs on his wrists and I swear, it sure looked like a 112 Ranger that young boy uses.

I dont know if you guys follow "Call of the Wildman", but in a recent episode he traveled to New Orleans to trap a hog with "the Hogman" and hogmans partner Trapper Joy. I couldnt get a great look, but it appeared that the buxom Joy was wearing a fold over sheath that seemed to be Buck. Not sure which model.

It's not a movie, but I was watching the 15th episode of an anime (Japanese cartoon) called "Hunter x Hunter" and was fairly surprised when this caught my eye:

Seems fairly obvious to me that the knife in his hand is supposed to be a Buck 110. I suppose the fact that it showed up in a recent overseas animation just goes to show how iconic the Folding Hunter design is.

I watched the Van Damme movie "Maximum Risk" last night. In it he is attacked with a Buck Special by the bad guy in an elevator. Of course, when the elevator door opens, Van Damme is now holding that knife and the attacker is a bloody mess on the floor. Makes me think of that song..."You don't tug on Supermans cape......." There were very clear shots of the knife, no question it was a Buck Special (or a prop made to look like one).

That looks like a 119 to me as well.

Wow, I'm impressed you found a video clip.
Here is a photo capture from that clip.

Love good movies, the ones with compelling stories and really enjoy the best ones meeting the first requirement plus they are told well. I need the same scenario to read a book or even a short story. They gotta have either a great story or they are told real nice. The gem, IMHO, is to get both at the same time. I've seen every Michael Mann movie, for example, and read everything H. Melville wrote, including his published letters. Now, you put some excellent cutlery into the mix and, for me anyway, it is like gravy on a hot biscuit. Mmmmmm good. :)

It seems to me that modern movies make pretty good use of cutlery. I could use more. I think that a cutlery scene/chapter should be obligatory in all movies/books. I'd like advertisements for movies and books to carry knife content information: manufacturer, model, length of scene exposure or number of sentences with knife content. :)
