Buck Legacy 110 S45VN

so if you remove the pocket clip on this model, will the pocket clip fasteners thread back in?
No. The pocket clip screw are long because they have to accommodate the stand offs. Also they have shoulders so they don’t rattle inside the standoffs. The fix is quite simple. Just get a couple of shorter #2X56TPI screws to attach to the T-Nuts in the rear bolster.View attachment 1739972

Ok, perfect. What length would you recommend?

The Buck screws (top2) have a fatter head than a normal #2X56TPI screw (bottom). The length of the middle screw (measured from under the head to the end) is 3/16”. So top screw) with clip, middle screw) without clip, and bottom screw) easy to find but will look a little funny. All of these screws use a #6 TORX driver.View attachment 1740637View attachment 1740638

Buck has everything to make their screws in house (at least they did when I took a tour three years ago). I wouldn’t be surprised if they were more or less completely custom.

Screw production is quite noisy especially the headers. I didn’t hear any headers when I took the factory tour in 2018 which was when I bought some Club Knives with wafer head screws.

I went at the end of September of 2018 and they had a brand new machine in (that they were extremely proud of) specifically for the purpose of making their own screws in house, instead of having to purchase them from an outside source. They were also just finishing up perfecting their Cerakote process at this time and had just invested in a bunch of new colors.

I was there in July. Just missed it.

Sounds like an excuse to make another trip, lol! :D

Here ya go! This is a post from my visit back then that talks about their new machine to make screws, the Cerakote room, etc. :)

I need to see the machine that does heading, threading, forming, drilling, tapping, and cutting to length.
