Buck License...

All true, I wear a Buck cap all the time. However, I will not let the local paper do a story on my knife collecting, as I think THAT IS asking for trouble.

I think I would like a license plate frame that says on the top: BUCK KNIVES and then on the bottom" Famous for holding an edge."

May dicuss that with BCCI people.

I agree with BG42, To many people give way to much info about themselves unknowingly, in the things they do. I look for these things because if I notice it, so will a crook. I guess some may live in areas of the world that life is completely safe. I know people that never lock there doors in there house or car. I never leave the house without locking all door and windows, knowing that if someone wanted to get in it wouldnt matter. Info is deadly...

At this house.....all doors are locked and all guns are loaded. Back yard has a five-foot chain link fence. There is a security system. There is also a dog.

When I leave this house, all guns are locked up one in of the safes except for the Glock 26 in my pocket.

Some knives are always on display, but I keep traffic in that area to a minimum.

When I go to the range I always put the guns in the van while it's inside the garage. None of my neighbors has seen me carry a cased gun to my van. None of them know I own a gun. I would never have one of those inane "Protected by Smith & Wesson" stickers on my door. A sign like that really says, "I have guns, come and steal them."

I would never have an NRA bumper sticker or a window decal that identified me as a hunter. The only sticker I have is one that reveals that I donated to the police benevolent fund. Other than a little camo once in a while, I don't wear any clothing that would identify me as a hunter or shooter.

I would not put the Buck license plate on my car, but I don't think it would be a serious security breach to do so. The license plate frame that has been mentioned would probably do no harm and a buck trademark without the name would be even better.

I realize that some here are probably already well-known locally as collectors and gun-owners, so they can't really do themselves any harm by advertising what's already known.

Some may live in areas that are crime-free, so they don't have to worry.

Or maybe they just think they don't have to worry.

300, that's a good idea... ITE ... :)

I agree with BG on much of his security descriptions. And I do guard my open public image to a degree. In my town of 10,000 on the Arkansas border everyone wears camo all the time, big 4X4 trucks have camo seats, camo trim, all kinds of decals in the windows as do a bunch of the little trucks..
When I go to church, the Mart, to community meetings the male handshake and first statements are about how is your huntin' and fishin' going......even the gals wear camo. Bunches of folks know me as the pocket knife man but a bunch know I was a LE firearms instructor also........ Not that all that makes any difference on the aspect of good security you just need to think things out for your lifestyle, your area and your value to protect.

One thing I am going to look into is a micro-chip(s) we could buy that would have our name and address in them. We could put them under the scales down in the blade wells or just stick it on in a place you don't look much. Then at least you would feel good that someone might get his tail thrown in the pokey (veiled joke) over it.....

I don't doubt at all that one of these could be affixed to the front of a vehicle.
