BUCK KNIFE LIMITED EDITION - 1994 100 YEAR ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE CALIFORNIA STATE SHERIFFS BOWIE KNIFE - MINT
This is a Limited Edition Custom Buck Knife Model 916. It was designed for the 100th Anniversary of The California Sheriff's Association in 1993.

Full tang design from 3/16" stock. Beautiful genuine stag handle scales. The satin finished stainless steel clip point bowie blade is lavishly engraved in gold. The back illustration of the wild west sheriff is by Bill Owen and dated 1993. The front is the Sheriff's six pointed lawman's shield with state Bear symbol and says "HONORING A CENTURY OF DEDICATED SERVICE 1894 TO 1994". There is also an inlaid shield, again of the six pointed star. The Pins and Guard are nickel-silver. The tang stamp says Buck Custom USA.
My dad got this knife when it was first issued and then had a local artisan design and make a custom leather sheath for the knife. I don't imagine that anyone would actually carry the knife around, but the sheath is a nice tight fit if you chose to do so.
So, the knife is a limited edition and there were going to be 2500 issued but only 400 were actually made. The sheath is a one of a kind original. Both the Knife and the sheath are in mint condition and come in a nice glass display case. This is a great collector knife and would be a great addition to your collection.

This is a really cool knife and I hate to sell it but my dad says that if I kept all of the knives that I thought were cool from his collection, there would be nothing left to sell. He is mostly correct.
