Just saw what looks to be a red lucite with sheath on the big auction site. i don’t think I’ve ever seen one for sale before this should be interesting I’m planing making some popcorn for the last 15 min of the auction it should prove entertaining.

Still available from Copper and Clad. So don't over pay.

Sorry, just checked it out at the auction, and realized what it was. You are right popcorn will be needed. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I have never seen that tang stamp before? Is it a, dot BUCK dot, or a, *BUCK*??

I make it to be a Group 4 knife from about 1947 to 1948. If I had lived in San Diego 30-40 years ago knowing what I know today... I would have hit the flea markets hard. It is too late to start a significant collection of pre factory knives. Too bad someone spit shined it, doesn't look right that way.

Seller says in an addendum it is a model 108. I would disagree with that, the 108 is a puny thing with a 3.5" blade. At 9.25" OAL I'm thinking it is an early 105.

A lot of lucites have popped up this year surprisingly. This one probably won't be listed for much longer with Roger doing all of his backdoor deals lol

Never done a back door deal.
As a junkie I am in constant withdrawal...
... unable to get a timely (and affordable) fix.

In the real world, what would that knife be worth?

A lot of lucites have popped up this year surprisingly.....

A number of the auctions that I was watching were shut down early...
...there must be some pretty aggressive buyers for them out there.

The trend seems to be that the rarer and desireable the knife,
the more likely the auction will be cancelled early.
