The lock has been around for hundreds of years. It is a picklock, European origin. You want to close the knife you must pick up the lock! Pick lock. Perhaps you've seen it on stilettos before. Old school. Simple. Reliable.

I took a scary bus ride down to the RxR station as a very young fella in order to get a Playboy magazine so I could subscribe. Drenched in sweat I bot it and took the long trip, 25 miles back home before I was missed. I subscribed and never got the magazine in the mail. I, stupidly, figured that they somehow knew that I was a tad too young for it. At Christmas time my Dad thanked me for the subscription and told me where the stack of mags were in his closet. He never knew, as far as I know, what I knew. Also, I am in need of memory aids so I use such devices to etch my thinning memory banks.
