First "I'll take it" in this thread, followed up by a PM receives the item.
All prices "net" to me, paypal only. I will cover first class shipping on purchases CONUS, I am willing to ship internationally if the buyer pays actual shipping.
Here's a long-discontinued Buck Mayo 172. This one has been kicking around in my treasure chest as an unfinished project for a long time. I finally finished it up, but my knife collecting has changed significantly over the last 10 years so off this beauty goes.
The knife has received 3 primary modifications - first, and most notable, I ground a recurve into the blade to make it look more like one of Mayo's recurved TNT customs.
I ground a scallop above the lock bar to allow easier unlocking
I removed the top "horn" to clean up the lines visually, and make the knife more comfortable to carry/use.
The final thing was a stonewash finish to blend in the scallop and hornectomy.
Otherwise this knife is mechanically flawless as far as I can tell - no play, buttery smooth, centered blade, tight (but late, as is common with these) lockup, no wobble, etc etc etc. Sorry for the poor lighting in the photos - if there are photo requests, just let me know.
$150 - no box. I had it somewhere, and if I turn it up I will send it along after the fact
