Yes, yours has obviously been a faithful user. No way anyone could know in those early times how collectable some of these critters can be.
But what makes this one rare, versus a normal 3rd version is that it DOES NOT have scale pins. Just the brass Rocker pin. Unfortunately the Blade Guide gives no information on it other than to say " The inlays will be held in place by two small rivets though one rare version has no inlay rivets at all"
The guide puts a value of $200 on a mint 3rd version. Makes me curious what one of the non rivet ones would bring. But I'm not gonna test the market

Earl's nail nick is really small, Pack Rat's is not. Earl's also looks to have been on a fast. Does that make a difference in the overall scheme of things? Preston
