Buck Nano Bantam

I was just looking at this knife on a certain seller site, and it listed the steel as being 420J2. I then looked on some other sites, and they said it was 420HC. So, is the Nano 420HC or 420J2?

In the 2007 catalog (below) the Nano was listed as having 420J2 steel. It's possible that the dealer either has old stock or hasn't changed his web site description.

Agreed Dave, gotta be tons of old Nano and other Bantams out there from before returning to US for production. But may just be outdated listing. I think the Nano or the 285 were the 1st to be produced in the States. 2010 if I'm not mistaken.

The listing did say it was made in the USA, which was what confused me. Thanks guys!

Well if it is USA stamped, it is absolutely 420hc.
