I don't have the specifics of the width and thickness of the tang but perhaps this graphic of the Nighthawk handle that appeared in an old post here on the Buck Forum a few years ago will help.

The Nighthawk is such a robust knife intended for field or other heavy use it is quite possible that the tang maintains the full .25" thickness of the blade.

Thats a great graphic of the handle and tang. Yes, it does maintain its thickness the entire length of the tang.
