Got my July 2023 BOTM today. Everything is OK except mine has the same issue as with the previous picture The blue color (is it paint or Cerakote?) looks like it was splattered on. Disappointed. Still haven't heard anything about the June 2023 BOTM I returned.

Looking at the Buck web-site, the blue color is shown that way too. OK, but not sure what, if anything, it is supposed to signify.

It shows it this way on the Buck website. I assumed it was supposed to be this way. [Edit: you beat me to it....]

I don’t mind that blue splotch - I barely notice it, but when I do look at it I think it’s kinda cool.

I don’t mind that blue splotch - I barely notice it, but when I do look at it I think it’s kinda cool.

Look at the 2021 July Spitfire, has the same color scheme but done much much much better.

I’m sure someone has noticed, but I haven’t seen mention of it here and I’m too lazy to go back through the thread to look for it … the inside of the spacer has the same color pattern as the outside, but it’s not covered by the clip, so you can see the whole pattern, and the red white and blue ‘splotch’ makes a lot more sense that way. The red to white transition on the outside is covered, and that makes it look a little off. Would have been really cool if they had tucked the tab of the clip into a slot in the spacer so you could see the whole effect on the outside.

The more I fiddle with this knife, the more I like it. It could very well end up stealing pocket time from the CF model.

It is a good looking knife. I liked this one and the blacked out Spitfire from March that wasn't a fast seller.

Got july botm just now...great knife..would be better with a pocket clip for left handed carry for my off hand. If buck makes one available for it I want a couple..lol
