Buck on the big screens

Treat Williams in "Flashpoint" was murdered with a stolen Buck 110...(I posted a pic here in one of the earlier "Movie/TV Bucks" threads)... :)

I think the most infamous Buck was the "Lost" 110... :D

I remember "Flashpoint" - great movie, I thought. Everybody (critics) totally panned it at the time, but everyone I know who saw it liked it. We debated for a long time which knife it was. (Schrade LB7 or Buck 110?) I owned an LB7, and the movie knife didn't look like an LB7 to me.

By the way - soundtrack by Tangerine Dream. Any TD fans here, or am I the only odd one? :o

thx - cpr

I have the LP soundtrack from "Flashpoint"; excellent!!! Oddly, the theme song (closing song, really) was performed by The Gems, with Tangerine Dream doing the other 11 tracks...

Yes, the movie is part of my permanent DVD collection. I'm trying to figure out how to get the tunes off the vinyl and onto a disk...without a turntable...

I know this is off topic, but:

Crosley brand stereo, model #CR73-3OA. These record vinyl to CD's, but, well, it's a turntable. And I don't know what kind of quality you'd get. Maybe one of your friends has one . . .

Other than that, you'll have to go to someplace that can convert it for you. I finally decided the cost wasn't worth converting the few songs I wanted. I may try again someday.

Hey - did ya'll know that there's a Buck 110 in the movie 'Flashpoint'? There. Back on topic again. ;)

On the news monday a farmer had to cut off his arm with a pocketknife or burn to death..His feild had caught on fire an his arm was trapped in a corn (BAILER ????) I just caught a breif flash but it sure looked like a 110! Did any one else see it ????

Yep, that was the tang stamped "US ARMY" 110 wasn't it? I've been fishing in the Bay for that one and no bites yet.

I played "Clue" this past weekend with my niece. I'd never played it before.
Fun. Won two outta five games. Won with Mr Green, Dining Room, Knife. Then Mrs White, Ballroom, Knife.

Miss Scarlet looks hot and nasty.

Too funny! Hmm, won both times with the knife... another good one! :D

I watched Survivor man in Labrador, he used a 119.

Yup, I saw the news flash, but I didn't see the knife. All I can say, is that fellow had more guts than I have ever seen.

About that farmer who cut his arm off, he said it was a John Deere knife. I just caught a quick glimpse, but i dont know if BUCK has a DEERE knife? I know CASE makes one.

Same thing Aron Ralston did ('Rock and a Hard Place'). I admire their guts, and I guess if you're motivated enough, you could do it. But man, just thinking about having to do that gives me shivers.

Leastwise one Tangerine Dream Fan is here. We had them in concert this year. A great concert, I enjoyed it! But for the topic: They didn't show any knives on the stage, much less any Buck knives.

Best,
Haebbie
