Just curious, do you own/collect only Buck? My current pocket knife collection has a few Case Peanuts, a Case Trapper with WV markings (just for display), a few SAK Alox Cadets and Pioneers, SAK Classics on all our keyring, and an Opinel that was gifted to me by a fellow BF member.
The vast majority of my pocket knives, and the only ones I carry, are Bucks. (I will add a SAK to my watch pocket if Im wearing jeans), 110's (still up in the air with this model/size) 112's, a Slimline, a 722 Spitfire and my personal favorite...Vantages.

I'm a little more varied in the fixed blade category. I have two Buck 119's, a 212 from SKB, and am awaiting the arrival of a brown micarta 102. (Thanks Craig!) I also have a couple Mora's, a couple ESEE's, a CRK Green Beret, a Damascus Olamic Voykar we bought for my wife at a show, a Busse TGLB that we bought at the Blade Show, and a Glock FM78 with the sawback.

What about y'all?

Since 2007 all I have bought is Buck..I made a decision to collect and display rare, odd 112's and because I had and have a low budget I put 95% of my knive budget into 112's but couldn't resist a few other Bucks along the way. I wish I had bought more of the killer bargain knifes Joe had brought to the Blade Show for Saturday's big sale there for BCCI members (I could have traded for 112's later) but just didn't think. Strangely other companies knives just don't appeal to me except for a few Customs and everything Randall..

I have accumulated, collected, carried, and used many brands of pocketknives since I was a boy, but my two top brands are Buck Knives and W.R. Case & Sons. For me they are very much complimentary; Case has offered the greatest variety of pocketknives over the decades, and Buck has offered the greatest variety of heavy duty lock-backs and fixed blade outdoorsman's knives - the three categories I like to collect, carry and use. There have been countless great brands of European knives - I like them, have a few, and use them but my main interest is USA made knives. Third on my list is the old USA made Schrade, Imperial, and Camillus - I have a number of them, and others (GEC, Kabar, Western) but don't pursue them anymore. I still actively pursue Buck and Case knives. OH

I don’t consider myself a collector by any stretch. I’m not brand loyal although most of my knives are Buck. My opinion of Buck is similar to my opinion of Ruger, good value at a decent price. I had a Cadet once but lost it replacing it with a Sears knife made by Camillus (same knife). My Bowie is a Bear and Son, my Kukuri was made in Nepal. I have a couple of Becker’s and a Kershaw or 2, an old Herters “improved” Bowie, an Ontario Pilot survival, a Case USMC fighter and 8 Bucks from 3 105s up to a 124

My knife collecting habits mirror pretty much what Old Hunter said. If you really pinned me down, I would probably prefer Case slip-joints and Buck lock-backs and fixed blades although I have examples of both, as well as others. Before Covid hit, I would try to make the local gun shows in the Atlanta area just to look for old Buck and Schrade USA knives. I have a few Ruana sheath knives and also a few GEC folders, but the GEC sales model/availability irks me a bit. I almost would rather collect Camillus USA stuff than GEC. Here lately I have bought/carried mostly Buck, but today it’s an Opinel 6, so you never know;).

Until 1989 I didn’t have much exposure to Buck knives and most people I knew had either an old timer or uncle Henry and Schrade/ Walden brands with a smattering of case, puma, Winchester and Camillus. Back then I didn’t think much about brands but if they were durable and took an edge that’s all I cared about. But in 1989 I was gifted a Buck 301 stockman in 425m and was impressed with how strong and durable it was and how well it took and kept an edge, much better than any other knife I’d ever had. That Buck 301 got my attention and before long I ordered a 110 Damascus Stag through Bass Pro. I still have both of those knives and they have served me well all these years. I have bought some Case slip joints in the traditional patterns, about 8 total and only the large trapper in 154cm has really impressed me. I’ve bought two GEC folders recently that are nice but not my favorites by any means. So with about 60+ Buck knives in my accumulation, and I’ve given a dozen or more as gifts. I’m definitely a loyal Buck knives fan.

I buy Buck knives. I have a few other brands but not because I bought them. Like my step father gifted me a few Case and Schrade knives he accumulated. I do have a collection of military knives that my father in law, the Colonel gifted me. I bought a few other jumbo Trappers that Camillus made. But not much else. DM

Without doing an audit I would guess that about ninety percent of my knives are Bucks and close to ninety percent of those are folders. I do have a complete set of the Hackman Tapio Wirkkala knives from the early 70s—there were only two knives, the large and the small versions. My other emphasis has been Gerber knives designed by Al Mar in the 70s—the A Series fixed blades, the C Series Ebony fixed blades, and the Silver Eagle 250A folders.

I’ve always liked Buck knives. Especially 110’s. I try to give Buck as much business as possible. I make sure to recommend them every chance I get.

I’ve collected military knives especially USN knives. MLK Demo knives. A set of Becker’s and my real weakness is Randall’s.

My favorite pocket knife to carry and use is a Loom Fixer. But nobody makes them anymore.

Then there is a pile of Camillus, Benchmade, opinels, and others I found interesting

I've always liked many brands and cutlery in general.

what pulled me to Buck is their heavy sided made in America when others shipped more overseas, family ownership, Christian beliefs, and general like and care of their customers. then add on making knives that do the tasks well, and it was easy to be my favorite.

oh and their fans and collectors are some of the best folks out there.:)

I don't know where to begin.I've been a knife guy all my life.

I have mostly Buck knives about 200 of the 110/112 models.I also have about 70 of the 100 series fixed blades and numerous other models.

I have about 100 case '54 Trappers,24-25 '65 Folding Hunters and a few other Case models.

I own about 60 Microtechs and about 30 other autos of various makes.

There are some 200 Victorinox and Wenger models in my SAK collection.

There are probably about 30 other folding knives such as Puma,Gerber and various other makes and a few Custom fixed blade hunting knives.

I thinks that's all, although my memory isn't as good as it used to be,as proved last week when I just discovered I owned a Buck 501? LOL

PS: I forgot about my Randalls,I own about 35.

Anymore, it's Buck. I still look at others, but usually come back to them.

My first love is the old Marbles knives. There's something about the legacy of those, along with my love for Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
-I tried to like Bark River knives, but they somehow taught me it wasn't worth it.

The first knives I bought were the old Colonial carbon steel folders. I still grab 'em if they are like new. Very well built knives, and still a deal on the old ones.

Sometimes Ontario knives will catch my eye. Old company, made in USA. The quality isn't as good as Buck, but pretty good values for beaters. The Old hickory line of knives have been around for years.

I shy away from some of the newer style knives. But that's my age and prejudice I'm sure.

I frequent the knifemakers for sale area here.
Some of those guys are amazing.

More Bucks than anything. A few ZTs, Chris Reeves and Benchmade folders. Fixed Blades include Bucks, Behring, Ruana, Tops and Beckers. I have too many for sure. You will see me listing just about everything in the next month or so. Keeping the ones who have the most appeal and or users.

I mainly only collect Bucks, but I have a lot of other brands that I had before I got a Buck since then it’s every thing Buck from knives shirts hats stickers stuck on everything patches sewn on everything ,
I will buy a Brown bone jumbo trapper if it’s one I don’t have, they look like Bucks anyway.
I’m probably the only one ever to sew a Buck Knives patch on to a Face mask ,
