Buck or Case?

While I don't worry about snow in San Diego, I do live near the beach. When I go to the beach, it is usually a Buck that is in my pocket for much the same reason you take one into the snow. No worries.

Yes, agreed the Buck is very good in this way. The only knives that I have that are more resistant to rust are my Swiss Army Knives. I think I could leave one of those out in the rain for weeks without any rust developing.

Yeah, if your worried about corrosion, the buck will be a better bet, no doubt.
I have both and really you can't go wrong with either.

Going by the idea that you were looking for a more refined knife for daily work edc, I would go with the case. Fit and finish will almost certainly be better and it's a little bit slimmer knife in the pocket. I carry mine alot, very dress pants pocket friendly and people friendly.

I'm also a fan of the CV steel, nothing wrong with Bucks stainless, don't get me wrong, just my preference there, I get a really good edge on the CV easier than the buck stainless. The stainless just takes a little more work and gets a really nice edge too. I haven't really seen a difference in edge holding myself, both do pretty well, the CV just comes back to sharp easier for me.

I think you'll probably be happy with either one, so happy shopping and let us know what you get and how you like it.
