A while back I had to sell alot of my knives which included my 3 buck knives . I was never a Buck collector but I was a user .Anyway I really missed them and now have got a 2001 110 in great nick :D Very pleased with it and its nice to be a Buck owner again , now I can wear my Buck belt buckle again with pride ;) One thing I noticed is on the stamp on the blade there is a tiny bit of the 0 on the 110 missing , was this due to the way it was stamped or do you think there were thousand like this ? It doesnt bother me but im just curious .

...A chipped stamp...bet it was replaced pretty quick if the inspection process they were using was sound...

Probably a worn, or like Darryl said, chipped stamp. The specs on blade stamps are not nearly as tight as tolerances on say, blade thickness. Blade stamp tolerances, as shown on blueprints in the shop, are mostly for reference only. As long as it is readable and does not look bad, its a go.
If an actual stamp goes bad though, it is taken out of the line right away.
Hope this helps and welcome back to the Buck users group!

Thanks for the reply Joe :D I carried the 110 today at work :D It was great and felt good to have an old friend with me again , love it .
