Dave called and he sounds good after his surgery. We talked for a short while and he's doing pretty good so soon after his operation.I was pleasantly surprised that he seems to be doing so well.He said that he'd likely be going back home in a couple days.Keep the smoke & prayers coming for our friend Dave.

Glad to hear Dave's healing up. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I have read many a plumberdave post over the years, our prayers and hearts are with him and Mr. Buck.
Speedy recovery to them both.

I called and spoke with Dave this afternoon and he had rested some and is sounding confident about things. One tube was removed today and the other perhaps tomorrow. Then discharge papers maybe forth coming. He's ready to go home. The doctors felt the surgery was a success and recovery time is needed. Before I let him go he urged me to be sure and thank all his Forum friends in his behalf for your support and out pouring of prayers and compassion during this time of need. Thank you so much friends for standing in the gap for Dave thru this ordeal. He hopes that sometime down life's road you'll know how grateful he was for your support during these days. DM

California Dave is one of the finest men I will ever know. He walks the earth like a giant, carrying cutlery, in my eyes. Of course he will recover and live for a thousand years continuing to fill so many shoes: Wise sage advisor, big brother, Santa, father, stubborn mule and other lovable characters. WTG Dave! Welcome back.

I'm going to try to contact Dave later this morning.I'm so glad his surgery is behind him now and it went well. He's great man and has been like a brother to me.When I stayed in California giving hospice care for my father he called every day during those months giving me much needed moral support and advice.Smoke & prayers sent high for Dave and Chuck Buck.

It is good to hear that Dave is on the mend. Over the years we could count on Dave to show us how to take great pictures of knives. His pictures are always clear and very detailed. Get well soon, Dave!

Good morning everyone.

Well, I'm home and settled in. Feeling much better than I was a month ago, not cured by any means, but much improved from what I was before.

I'll be following the forum and posting when I think I can add something of value.

Again, a HUGE thanks for all the prayers and well wishes, they are truely appreciated.:thumbup:
