Anyone have any experience with the 944 Buck Petite Chef? I'm in the market for a smaller knife like this and would be interested in any feedback you might have.
Thanks!

That's about the only reason I dont have that particular Buck in my kitchen. I've got an old, American made Chicago Cutlery knife that I have no complaints about.I would not hesitate. I have a Chicago Cutlery in that size and it's a golden child. The Buck looks even better with the paperstone.
Mine's maybe 35 or 40 years old. Walnut handle that's still in good shape. And wow is it thin. That's about the only reason I dont have that particular Buck in my kitchen. I've got an old, American made Chicago Cutlery knife that I have no complaints about.
That's definitely a goodie, my folks had a set in walnut when I was growing up in the 80s and they were great. Mine is from the mid 2000's, just before Chicago Cutlery went downhill and eventually moved everything to China. Its been through the dishwasher probably over 1000 times and the black handle still looks new. I'll send it with one of my kids and buy a Buck to replace it, someday.Mine's maybe 35 or 40 years old.
