Buck Ranger needed

Must be rare kinda. My buddy kept saying my guitar didn’t have ebony cuz that blonde streak. Lol. I had to show him there website where it said it for him to get it. He has only seen the jet black ebony on guitars so he got to learn something new. :)

Mine came in today,Has a blonde streak in the wood like a certain guitar I have with ebony fret board so kinda matches it.
Turns out mine is a two dot. Here's a pic for ya.

8533A4ED-2A9B-40E2-AF84-2E43414F384C.jpeg I have a custom shop 112 s30v and walnut diamond wood that I carry sometimes when camping as it is handy for cutting sticks for tent stakes and whittling in general. Sometimes the longer 110 blade is a bit much for close in work. I do like it a lot but it doesn’t get as much work as my 110s.

Great looking knife les. I agree. My 110 will still be my go to hunting knife but for edc stuff on weekends it’s the 112 for sure. During the week I can only carry my 501 and 55 and 503.

^ great pics and better late than never. I like the look of the drop point you have. That might be my next Buck. A drop point 110 and Ranger.

Would be great if they'd also make the drop point available as a standard option for the 112 (as they just did for the 110, if I understand correctly), or at least make it available in the custom shop. Mine is a C&C version in 5160 - it is one of my most carried knives!

I wish they'd give the drop point models a different model number.

I can't help but look at a drop- point 110 and think "that thing is not a 110!"

I call them shovel points.

Buck has never offered a drop point blade for the 112 in the Custom shop.

I don’t know how many Buck knives I’ve had over the years, but the 112 has never been one of them. I’ve been looking to remedy that, but have been holding out for someone to make an aluminum frame version like was done for the 110. I wish someone would go ahead and do so. In the mean time perhaps I should just grab a traditional 112 to hold me over. We shall see.

They have done an aluminum frame 112.

[QUOTE="Makael, So if one was available in the custom shop, that would generate sales?[/QUOTE]
Well if I was on the edge of ordering a CS 112 a drop point option would likely make the decision.
I like the aesthetics of the 112 over the 110 but if i'm gonna tote a knife as bulky as the 112 I'd just as soon have the 110.

Now you're talking!!!

Once you have one of the traditionals you'll wonder why you ever thought of getting anything else.

Yes, it's true. Nothing like wood, brass and steel construction. Sturdy little fellow.......will never fail you.

:D

I've built a CS 112 many times and not ordered because of a lack of a drop point..I have a few but I didn't order them originally. A perfect DP choice would be one in S30V or S35VN and have it mirror polished. I actually like the DP blade shape of the new Slim Pro better than the DP on the BCCI or the various build outs but any choice is better than none. Buck makes the DP option available for exclusives and I often wondered why they didn't make a extra 100 or so and drop them off at the Custom shop...
