Buck recluse 110

Unfortunately people throw around words like 'custom' 'factory' 'genuine' etc pretty freely, especially in an online auction. I saw an auction on the big evil E last week for a 'custom' 110 with red bone scales. Item number 230103866594 It sold for $150

The bidder must have assumed it was from the Buck Custom Shop but it was just a production 110 with factory red bone scales. Nice knife (I have 2 of these) but not worth anywhere near $150 in my opinion.

Oh, man...Can you post a pic of yours??? I love bone, but had not known there was a production version... :o

Just in case you are wondering.... the countertop in the auction photo and my photo's look the same but I can assure you they are not!

Is it just me, or does the blade profile on the auction 110RB [pic below] and your 110RB (with the blade extended) look different than a contemporary 110??? It looks like the blade has more "meat" near the tip...it's not as tapered...hmmm???

I kind of like that profile...

Messersmith, what does/did your redbone retail for? How much of a "premium" did the bidder pay at $150? I would have not known this was a "regular" factory issue rather than a Custom Shop unless the box was so identified.

Buckaholic,
Peeked at your photos. Nice Harley, what year? I ride a 1999 FXR2. I have a photo of the same gal at Sturgis!

Azis, I know this isnt a Harley forum but I had to respond. I went out to Arizona this time last year to visit a friend in Phoenix. I rented a 2006 Road King for the week and we rode all over Arizona. Had a blast! I really like that Road King and think my next bike will be either a Road King Custom or maybe the newer Street Glide. The Road King sits a bit to high for my short frame so I will have to either have it lowered or get bigger heels on my boots! For now I just keep riding that FXR. Its a 1999 with 40K miles, Sturgis, Daytona and Laconia several times since 1999. Bucks and Harleys! What a life!

I went to Vegas this year did a fly and ride got a classic and took it through valley of fire zion etc...

I have mine up for sale, my next one will be the street glide
