can anyone tell me if Buck does repairs or replaces parts on old Buck knives? I have a Duke with nice stag handles that I once mistakenly asked a friend who works in a chicken factory to sharpen. Whatever he did took half the metal off the blade. I would love to get a new blade put on this knife.
Thanks
PS-these days my knife edges only meet my spyderco sharpmaker-best sharpener out there.

They sure will. They have a lifetime warranty that is just exactly that... lifetime. Send it to them C/O Customer Relations and they will fix it up or replace it. If you are attached to this knife, be sure to tell them that so they don't just send a new one. You absolutely cannot do any better than Buck, and that includes their warranty.

I wonder if i got an old Duke blade in the "back room"?

thanks guys. Joe, it will be on the way tommorrow morning. Oh, and I would take a new one if the stag scales were just as nice.

Lifter,
I would recommend that you send it to Buck's address with my name. Putting "Buck Knives" on the box alerts the odd unscrupulous mail carrier as to the contents of the package. We loose a few this way. Just a heads up.
