It seems that if you bid on an item and the bid is below the Reserve price, the site does not show (or even count) the bid... :rolleyes:

So you can have (for example...it's just a theoretical example) 16 bids on an item, all under the Reserve, and the auction will show 0 bids... :eek:

5 of those 16 can be from the same buyer...testing the Reserve ceiling, I suppose...IIRC, in this theoretical example, there were 8 bidders...bids spread out over 7 days...but a flurry of activity in the last few minutes...

...All under the Reserve... :p

Anyway, I don't like the new format at...some of these auction sites...it's bad enough that you can't tell who you're bidding against, but some auctions look like there was no activity, when there was plenty...

Oh, yeah - the other indicator...this theoretical auction had 203 views last time I...theorized about it... :rolleyes:

Truly interesting....there is another Buck item that did not meet reserve, from a different seller than this TheoRetorical person, and it listed 9 bidders in that X******x gobbedlygook..... But no high bidder.

I liked it like it wuz back before they fixed it.

I liked it the old way, too...IIRC, you can specify whether you want bids shown or not...I don't recall what the default is... :confused:

There seems to be a dollar cutoff, too...Go over it, and the whole game changes... :barf:

too much for me to try to figure out..
i concur- i liked it better before they fixed it..
