I have a Buck Selector blade I would like to trade somebody for a knife. There is a story behind this blade. I had bought a Selector way back in the early to mid 90's and broke the tips off two of the clip point blades. After the second tip broke (I was being kinda rough on the blades I'll admit) I wrote Chuck Buck a letter asking why they were making the tips on these blades so thin and also stated in my letter they needed to start making them thicker. Well, low and behold several weeks later I received a small box from Mr Chuck Buck himself. Inside the box was a letter to me from Mr Buck explaining how they were attempting to make their blades sharper and cut better by making them thinner. (early edge 2000 technology I'm assuming) Also in the box was a new clip point blade for my Selector which had a much thicker tip than the previous two I had broke. In the letter Mr Buck stated he had personally had the blade ground thicker just for me since he believed in customer satisfaction! Outstanding customer service I must admit. (I wish I had kept that letter!) Anyway I sold the knife years ago and while digging though my knife stuff today I found the blade he had sent me. I have never used it and it brand new just like the day I received it. I have tried to take pics showing the thickness of the tip but they didn't turn out to well since my camera is crappy. Anyway let me know what ya got. I like folding tactical type lock blade knives and fixed blades. Please no junk stuff offers. ( S&W, & ect, for example)
