Buck selling knives on ebay??

"now lets see ... have extra bg42's.. i wonder.. "

I didn't know there was such a thing as an "extra bg42"!;)

like you i dont have deep pockets were i can try for them

What do you mean Dave...I've never seen a collection of 110s that big...that requires some deep pockets I'd say.

Seriously, this is going to be quite fun. I also get this feeling Duck has another forum ID he's not using.

Is everybody ready for that feeding frenzy that's about to happen when the web specials post????

We are using Ebay because it costs us each time we add/subtract a knife from the web site specials page.

The idea that it could cost more to put a knife up and then down from your own site than to pay all the ebay fees amazes me!!! But I admit I don't know the first thing about running a web site, or how much it costs etc....

web site is geek run..
geek time is very high!!!
not that the geek gets it
but they charge like time is gold
jest check for personal web site professionally maintained
and the charges for custom support..

I thought about it some more and I guess it really isn't that unusual. SMKW sells on ebay and they have their own giant web site + a huge showroom.

hee i got most mine after i quit buying cigs and there were not many on line buying also i is a bottom feeding catfish when it comes to buying bucks
i make that buck grunt for a buck and
i wheel and deal and almost beg better price...
one big time bcci collector has banned me from bidding on
his listings as i am such a cheepe....
and my collection is not that big
i have heard of a lot of collectors that have better and larger collections
then i do they jest dont display them..
i wont tell names but quite a number of fellow formites and BBF's
have larger collections... but it is up to them to say what they have
many dont want to show off
some dont post as some one may come for a nite visit
but no i am not a large collector...
i jest love to show off if i can do it with out seeming a bore..

Joe, how about posting a 'preveiw' list for us who are not on e;bay verrry often?

I hope this helps answer some questions. :)

I think this is great Joe. I hope BUCK Knives make allot of money:). I am sure these wonderful knives and sheath's will find happy collecters home's. When you think about it this move to sell them on eBay is a no brainer. Just the larger group of folks looking at knives. Think of the extra exposure BUCK Knives can get from auctions there and if it cost less GREAT. In these economic time's I hope BUCK Knives make a mint:D .. Any BuckMaster blanks? Just Kidding I think we all just need to look as you put them up for auction.
By the way that very special BuckMaster 184 proto sheath is going for over $500.

WHAT!??!

Who is that cur, 334dave??? Tell us so that we can all bomb him with annoying email/bids... :grumpy:

I consider one of my auctions as a failure if it doesn't contain your $4.00 bid... :p

LOL!!! Trax your killing me!!! I think I just spilled my coffee on the keyboard.

now i start with 6.16 on any thing i really want..
makes the next bid 6.66
which is a jinx on that bidder that beat me..
and i have never seen any one that got the jinx win!
so if it was a 4$ bid it has been a long time!
(didnt know you rembered that far back!? with the CRS ))
i email offers on items that dont get bidders or make reserve and dont sell
esp if it is relisted 3times
dont mater now as i am no longer 334 dave
due to that.. have new snipeing id! so it is not on any ones list now..
also if i sell on ebay bidders dont lower their bid as they wont know it is me..!

Sorry Bucksway but I dont even have such a list. I told my boss I could either spend a week trying to compile a list of all the knives...or I could start listing them right away. Making the list as the knives are listed is a "value added" task and thats what I am all about. :)
I can say that the next box I peeked into did not appear to have any 112's. :(
I bet you can get our buddy 334Dave to keep an eye on the bay for you.

Joe, I have a feeling there are quite a few folks keeping an eye out on e-bay :D

E-bay,

I know that place, it's off to the south of Kodiak, AK and as your crossing the strait and round the point that lets you see Japan, you turn into this bay to get out of the 20 seas, Looking down over the side of the 30 ft fisherman, you shout out, eeeerp-bay.
300

Thank God Buck is letting the 'extra's' go......Where everyone has a chance to get one!!!!!! To me what they are doing makes a lot of sence...Joe, I bet there will be a lot of happy collectors by the time the last box is empty.. For the one of a kind items this sale will be a benchmark for values on rare Buck knives and related items...How long do you think it will take ?? 3 months? More? Are you going to have 15 or 20 items going on/listed at a time?? I suggest 10 day or longer listings to maxamise the return and to give thoes of us who are not on e;bay often to find the listing!! Hey, post a pic of the 'TREASURE' boxes!!!111111

Can you really "see" Japan??? I was reading not too long ago about the Japanese invading and occupying Alaska in WWII...well, one of the off-shore islands anyway [Aleutians]...still, it was part of Alaska and even though Alaska wasn't a state until 1959, it was still an American possession...

I blame the establishment for not telling us enough in school...How many people know that the Nazis actually had a concentration camp on English soil in WWII??? My teachers never told us *nothin'*... :grumpy:

I think both CJ and Chuck will be SHOCKED at how much some of the "Treasure Trove" will go for...... Chuck,I think you should get a nice 57 Vett to go with your convertable with just some of the proceeds.....
