Buck service? Does it exist?

I've made three calls over the course of two weeks, never actually spoke to a human being yet. Left three messages with ZERO returned calls. Does customer service exist at Buck or is it just a memory of days gone by?

...I'm thinking you just have to give them a bit more time to get all the boxes and trailers unpacked and put away before they're gonna be going full blast on repairs. Repairs are an important part of the Buck philosophy but getting production up and running to support those repairs is even more important at this time. I sent in a 501 three weeks ago or so and don't expect to see it back for a few more weeks at least. I was a part of a move similar to what Buck did and it did take a while to get fully situated. A customer's patience was something we really appreciated. In time all affairs with our customers were taken care of. I'm certain you'll see the Buck customer service return just as good as it was...Patience is a neat thing at times like this...

Sorry you have been left hanging. I would guess your messages ended up in some voice mail black hole in the phone system. It is still being fine tuned. There are customer service folks standing by daily. (800) 326-2825

Bucks customer service is the best.I recently sent two knives to Buck and it was handled by Joe Houser.Saying i'm pleased with how the process went would be an understatement.

gosh - moveing and starting over is such a Bxxxx, so much can go wrong ... kinda of understand i do...
lord grant me patience and please hurry!

Buck= good service, as stated they are moving... (I think there is a sticky at the top of this forum re: warranty service)

I have had nothing but good experiences with Bucks customer service / warranty department. 99.999% of people you talk to have had the same good experience dealing with them. That says a lot. Let us know how it turns out for you, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Got a call back today from Buck CS. Lady I spoke with was very helpful. She explained that since March things there have been crazy to say the least.

A final comment from me on the service levels of Buck's Service Department...I thought I'd be waiting a few more weeks for the return of an old 501 that I had sharpened to the point of having the tip exposed even when closed...well it got here today. Joe Houser had told me to send it to his attention and he'd take care of it. As I looked it over I saw that they had replaced the blade with a new one, the bolsters were replaced as well, the scales were brand new, the rivets glisten like jewels...hmmmmm....ya want to know something???...It appears the whole darn knife is BRAND NEW...LOL...What a Company...If there is another manufacturer of goods that even gets close to the level of service that is a mainstay of Buck Knife Knives Inc. and the people that work for it like Jeff Hubbard , Joe Houser and all the rest, I would like to know who they are and where they're at, because whatever they are selling...I'll buy it...just like I do Buck Knives...Picked up two (2) new 112's for the sons-in-law's birthdays...they'll eventually feel about Buck like I do...it just happens...

Years and years ago I had my pride and joy,a BUCKMASTER,resharpened by them.Excellent sharpening,I was too afraid to attempt it myself, scared of scratching the blade.Crazy low sharpening charge and quick turnaround.I love BUCK and everything they stand for.And what can you say about 110's that hasn't already been said? The BUCKMASTER is the Model 184 I believe.Does anyone know if the blade is D2,I don't know but I think it is.

I have had nothing but outstanding customer service from Buck. I have been buying their knives since the 70s (and buying and buying and buying, I think I see a pattern there). Buck is one of the few companies out there that I will wholeheartedly support.

BUCK is a great company and they produce a great product . I support them 100% . I have only sent one knife in for repair and it was a very good experiance . BUCK took care of the problem and I got my knife back in a few days .

Dont forget,folks... Buck is a minimum of a month behind on warranty work.

If you are talking about blade play with the blade locked open, I doubt there will be a charge other than some shipping. Never seen anyone charged for repairs in any of these threads.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Buck made any regular production models in D2. Not even sure if anything was available in LTD. editions or from the Custom shop using D2. I believe the Buckmaster was either 425 or 420HC.

I was told on 6/30 by the customer service rep that she would look into my issue and get back to me.

Haven't heard from her since...

Reader of this posting. I need to e-mail Buck with an order for a tool to remove / replace the clip on a Buck Tarani/Strider (police model 8XX?)

I'm a soldier stationed in Afghanistan. I deployed with a Buck Tarani Police knife and finding a need for left pocket carry. I was unsuccessful in removing the screws to reverse the carry clip using my Torx bit set… none of them fits the screws. My hex set also don’t fit.

Mail typically takes 3 weeks to reach the US. I don’t have ready access to a phone capable of calling 1-800 numbers. I’ve already mail a letter to Buck. However, anyone out there with an e-mail address, please post. I will log on in a day or two. Thanks.
