Buck sheath question

Now that's a very astute observation, Plumberdv.

That would explain this odd behavior quite well.

He should be informed that there's no shame in owning a Buck......no matter where the factory happens to be.

:D

When knives are made to Buck specifications.....they're gonna be top quality knives.

It was just a thought, since many of his previous posts were tirades against anything made in China.

Sounds like a logical explanation for his behavior on this issue.

I don't know the guy, but he looks to have maybe just a little tiny teeny chip on his shoulder.

Perhaps that will pass.

Very ignorant way of talking to others tryi ng to help you out bud.Maybe if you had of given the model ,i'm sure (as Buck folks are just plain great folks anyway you cut it),somebody would have helped you.Nobody said you were looking for a handout,it just so happens i have a storage box full of buck knife boxes and sheaths that went with the knives i had stolen from my house, stored in 2 different containers, they never took the sheaths.I most likely would have sent you one if i had it,would have needed the model number for that though,Too bad you acted like a a-hole to such helpfull people here.

Cease Fire, Cease Fire,

Cease Fire on the firing line.

Place all rifles in the racks and all handguns on the table.

Do not handle any firearms during the cease fire!

The firing line is now clear, you may go down range and change your targets.

Do not handle any firearms during the cease fire.

Sorry Blade Slinger, It's just that this is so foreign to us we find it confusing.

You know I REALLY like Buck knives. And I like coming here and reading what people post and looking at the photos of all the beautiful Bucks.

I really don't understand why everyone had to pile on me in this thread, but its really spoiling the whole experience. I'm a Buck collector / and user. That's why I'm here posting on this forum. I'm not interested in fighting with any of you. Could we all please just stop and move on?

"No my knife was NOT made in China. Thanks Plumberdv for making that suggestion. That was a really nice of you."

You're welcome, no trouble at all. It just crossed my mind that with your prior comments regarding the knives made in China, you didn't want to let it be known that you had one and that was the reason you were so touchy about answering the question. ;)
I stand corrected.

It was all about attitude Pal, yours to be exact.

Well, back to the O.P's original question about warranties of Buck's sheaths...

I don't know that I've ever heard anyone ask that question. Now I have an opinion about how Buck runs its business and I believe if you show a manufacture’s defect in your sheath, it will be replaced without question. But a sheath does have a lifespan under normal use and if it’s an issue with wear and tear due to usage then I’d say replacement is on you. But what you described sound like a defect.

Anyway, I do believe you should call customer service and explain the issue and ask what they’re willing to do for you.

I agree with you Gordon. If it is a defect on a new sheath I would expect the Buck factory to make good on a replacement. However, if it is not a new sheath then you are most likely on your own. Leather if not cared for properly will dry out and crack.

This forum is here for one and all. We (forum users) all share information if we have it to share. It only makes since that we (forum users) would also ask questions in return. If the op would like a reasonable answer he/she will need to post some photo's of the defective sheath...with out it we are only guessing and that can lead to unintentional misinformation.

+1
Buck will take care of the issue if it is a defect.
