I just got this little guy for my birthday, It has a sideways T as in it says "Buck" then it has a T (with the bottom pointing to the right). Is it still 440c?
 
That's a 2005 I think, so I'm not sure, December 2005 was when I first strted seeing the packaging for the 370's saying 420HC and it was in Feb. of 2005 that C.J. Buck said they were 440C, so if there has been a change it happened sometime during 2005.
 
Grrr but 2005 is like some weird shaped stamp... Is that idaho? I got one at walmart. The package doesn't indicate anything.
 
I answered this in your other post. The 2005 T for offshore knives isn't published anywhere that I have found. Buts thats what is on all of our 2005 offshore knives.

I take that back..... The 2005 T laying on its left side was in fact published in the Blade Guide to knife values. I guess that was published before the Idaho stamp for 2005 came about.
 
sorry this is going to be a double post but

what is the blade steel of my solo? Back in 2005 I think CJ Buck said it was 440C now apparently they've downgraded to 420HC
