Buck Spa Magic

Here's another encouraging before/after spa with a new blade and bead blast.

Buck really does take care of their customers.I actually sent them two knives. The other was a 110 with a little blade play and they fixed it , now it locks rock solid.

Buck does an excellent job on refurbs.
But if you guys have some oldies like that, try redoing one yourself. We had some threads on that here years and years ago about how to start. And I have redone several that looked as bad as this one.
In a nut shell Glued sandpaper rectangles about 2 inches to a 1x2 board about 16 inches long or so.
Started with 320, then 600, 800, and finally 1000 grit.
When you get it like you like it, finish it off with polish. I use Brasso.

Thats pretty simplistic words, but it does work and is satisfying after you finish.
It does take a while doing this manually. So don't get it in any hurry.

Play with it if you have an old junker that is still tight.

Very cool Tom. You wouldn't know it is the same knife. It would be fun if you could send a picture of the before and after to the guy that use to own it :D

Thanks Mike,I think the guy at the gun show that sold it would be shocked. I think he sold it for $16. :)

Wow I cant believe this is a free service that Buck does! Knowing this definately raised Buck up quite a few points in my book.
