Very nice! Apologies as I'm a Buck newbie, but was there anything that made this different from the stock 119? I've been thinking of picking up a 119 or 120 for the collection, just to have such an iconic piece!

I’m not a Buck expert either. I know they change the stamping on the blade for different year ranges, kind of like Case knives. Some guys just want the older stock because it was better quality. This one is easy to date because I have the original box otherwise I would have had no clue is was made in 2011

D Docscoot the 119 has been made with 420HC steel and no major changes since about 1994. 119s from 2011 would be identical to those made today.
