I have never seen one of these in person. They are on sale at Cabelas for $40. Are they discontinued? How are they quailty and handling wise?

For $40, you'll LOVE it!
Tough, and none of the ones I saw had issues with weak locks.
I had the 420HC blade/TACOM handle, and now I have the ATS-34 blade version with G-10 handle.
All good all around.

I am going to order some fishing hooks from them and am considering get one at this price.....

this is the data one the one they are selling.....The 3-1/2" blade is constructed of sturdy, corrosion-resistant ATS-34 stainless steel and configured as a partially serrated drop-point with deployment texturing and ambidextrous one-hand opening. The handle is a TACCOM® glass-reinforced nylon, quad-hold design with a reversible belt clip.

Better hurry. I just ordered mine, and one for my youngest son, and one for my brother, and two more to boot.............. I'm going to have go get another job..:(

yeah, that is a great price for the 882. Even cheaper than the verson with 420HC (889)

They are discontinued but a really nice folder.

Gee...I am still think it over as it is not my favorite design but if I go for it they will all be gone by then....lol Are they discontinued???????

Mine arrived today. Sweet knife with the Bos stamp on the blade. Liner is kinda of thin but it locks up tight.

As mentioned already I believe, this is the 882 SBT. Great knife, in my opinion.

This one is only 'a step' down from the G10 handled version with Torx screws(882 SBTG CMT). For all intents and purposes, TACCOM is fine.......at $40.00, if you complain, you need a slap :D

The regular price was $129.95 and sale is $39.95.

I grabbed two and I had $21 in points, so they came to less than $30 each.

Thanks to the OP for tipping us off on this great deal.

...I'da picked one o' them up but for those "bumpy notches" on the
cuttin' part of the blade...:barf:...:p
