I have had my Stider for about a week now and love it. My only complaint is that the pocket clip is to stiff and tight. This makes it difficult to put on and take off. Any ideas on what I could do short of loosening or bending the clip. I do not like a loose clip ond bending fatigues metal. Thanks.

There's really no way to make the clip's tension a bit more relaxed other than to bend it out slightly to where the clip is barely touching the scale. I've been doing this with my knives for years and haven't had any problems with metal fatigue. Plus, if you don't bend the clip of the Strider out a bit, the aggressive textured G-10 will eat up your pocket lip in a hurry. Hope this helps.

I had the chance to handle a Strider for the first time today. First impression was Jeeez's this thing is HUGE! I dont know how I could even fit it into my pocket!

The size didnt bother me too much, but what did after giving it a good look over is that the clip is screwed only into the G10, I cant believe the screw's didnt go through into the liner. May never be a problem, Its just something I always look for in my knives. I have had others rip out after getting caught and pulled away from the handle.

Overall I would say this is one over-built knife! I still cant get over how large it was.

Keith - the Strider's clip screws are anchored in the handle using threaded flanged brass sockets. The flanged part butts directly up against the titanium liner. Therefore, you cannot pull the clip off when it's snug. I voiced the same concern to Buck and this was how they explained it to me. So far the clip screws haven't backed out on me. Very ingenious, no small detail has been overlooked on the Strider.

Well, Thanks Dexter, I feel much better about the Strider now. I thought they might just have some sort of an insert like on a zytel Benchmade at best.

I do like the idea of the flanged socket set in there, seems it would even be stronger than the standard three or so threads that catch the liner on most knives.

Now you know the first thing I'm going to do when I get one

...It just kill's me not to see just how something is made. I dont think I own one knife which I havent voided my warranty in one way or another by taking it apart or making a modification to it, well almost...I'm allowed to take my Sebenza apart

Thanks Dexter for your idea. I gave it a try and did what I was worried about doing, which is that I bent it a little to much so I had to take it of and bend it back. That is why I am a little concerned about fatigue but the clip seems very strong so I doubt that I will have any trouble.
