I say fake. The stampings dont look right. Also the screws are not the same as the others I have seen.

I agree, but I was hoping it was real as I have a couple just like it in my fake collection.;)

Some poor scmuck is going to pay at least $114.50 delivered for it and the auction has 12 bids and four hours to go. The seller is in the USA, not China.

Fake.. All of the Striders of this style were stamped not lazer etch like the one in your picture. Matter of fact all the Striders were stamped

Hey PD,
do you know the history of the ones in your collection or are they potentially counterfiet.

I just got a DW vantage from wally world and it has the lasered markings but their is a date mark for o10, though hard to see.

What really sucks is we all know its a fake, and we also know fakes don't have bos heat treated ats -34,I wonder how many pop cans were melted down to make that blade?lol

How many fakes show up at Buck for Spa treatment or work only to be told that their knife is not a Buck I wonder.

We ain't all know'd, had it not been for this forum, I'd a never guessed, although that particular style doesn't appeal to me, but still.

The stamping that is a cheap etch, the box, and most obvious the sheath are dead give aways. But the biggest tip off should have been the price!

it needs to be reported, some smuck,i got took once i was a smuck it is crap...

If you can get his physical address, BUCK will go after him. From what I've heard, the lady that handles this in the legal dept. is rather tenacious in her efforts.

"Really, the guy who sold me this bridge/swamp land/trash chinese copy seemed like an honest fellow so I have to screw you on the deal now". Scumbags!

Sle-bay could fix these issues however, they don't care. Even HUGE companies have gone after them in the past for selling known stolen goods and so long as the checks clear I don't think sle-bay cares.

Sad all around.

Plus, sad for Buck since people buy this junk and this it's really a Buck!

Heck Dave those two fake Striders were a heck of an investment being they're selling for $130.00 and up on ebay now.

I do know they will as I sent one of the "bayonet" knives to the lead engineer in Post Falls. He works with the legal dept. on issues of trademark infringement. They will, if nothing else, file a cease and resist letter giving them more teeth if he continues to sell them.
