Heya!

Is it possible to convert a Buck Mini-strider (preferably the spearpoint) to tip-down carry?

Thanks!

You sure you want to do that? The consensus seems to be that it is safer and more secure to carry "tip-up."

Tip up is a better carry mode. I don't think the Buck can be converted. I for sure would not carry my AR Strider Folder tip down. I prefer tip up in my kydex rig.

The reason why I'm interested is that I carry my knives in my rear-left pocket (no other pockets free! :) ).

This allows the blade to open up, since it's not pushed up against the seam.

I've had an unpleasant run-in with a slightly-opened up tip before, so I was hoping someone could or knows a machine shop that could convert it to tip-down.

Thanks for your time.

biogon,

You might want to check out the Kydex carry rig that Strider Knives makes for the folders. I have one that was made for my AR Folder but they do make them for the Buck Series. It is an excellent solution to having to carry it in your pocket.
The AR is a BIG folder and it works great in the kydex rig. It can be worn in any position on the belt.

I am sure they could make one for the Mini Bucks. It would be cool.
