Hello,
I have a Buck/Strider tanto blade. I just got the knife last week. I have a two concerns about this knife.
1. The blade appears to be off center. When I look at it in it's folded position the blade is skewed to the left (looking from pivot to tip) There is a very big difference in the amount of space betweent the liners.
2. The liner lock does not feel very solid and is not in full contact with the blade. I can see that the liner is not completely touching the blade. There is no contact on the left half of the liner lock. The liner does go to the center of the blade, but I can see a gap between the blade and the liner lock's left side. Also very little effort is requied to disengae the liner lock.
I was finally able to go to Buck Kinves today but the lady at the customer service counter looked at the knife and said it was fine. I don't think that is the case. Can I bring/mail the knife to you personally? I've heard nothing but good about Buck's customer service. I was very excited about getting this knife and want to have it as my everyday carry knife, but I don't feel that this one represents the quality that I've already heard abouth the Buck/Strider.
I appreciate any assistance you can provide. I will e-mail you as well with my local conatct info.
Thanks agian,
Steve
