Bought this knife a little while back.Trying to get info on this blade is becoming a pain in the backside. What is the temper on this knife? How long has it been on the market? Is it a semi-custom,or a go between Strider/Buck?Dont get me wrong i love this knife,it is one solid, well made knife.I have the ATS-34 model. So if anyone has any info, please pass it on.Great job Buck.Thanks.Larry.

I understand it is 60-62 Rc but I could be mistaken. Mass market Strider goodness built by Buck to specific Strider specs. Very similar to the Strider EB-S which retails for 350.00. Heat treatment by Paul Bos is the best in the biz and makes all the difference in ATS-34 I'm told. You have an outstanding knife, keep it and use the hell out of it, it will stand up to alot of hard use. I have a Strider SnG, and a Strider-Buck SB2, and they are both rock solid! Hope that helps..e-mail me for more info if you need it. Check your e-mail for further...

We introduced this knife last year at the shot show. I am not sure when we first started shipping them.

This is a collaboration. It is a Buck production knife to the exacting design specifications of Mick and Duane. If they said it had to be a certain way we made sure it was everytime.

They provide the design credibility and we provide the consistent high quality manufacturing processes. The result is a lot of knife at a great value.

As to the temper of the knife...it depends if you piss it off or not..just kidding...

We are getting a pretty consistent 61-61.5 rc on our ATS-34. We do get some beyond that but all in the 60-62rc. Paul's process really cuts down on the loss of ductility to get the higher hardnesses.

Paul was doing the heat treat for Strider custom knives anyways and introduced us into the collaborative working relationship with Mick and Duane.

Hope that answered your questions. Ask again if I missed something.

Yes.Thank you for the info..Whatever the heat treat it is one solid knife!Hope Buck will come out with more fixed blades.Keep up the great work!Larry.
