buck/strider trainer question

I am sure you all know the blue scale buck strider trainer 420 hc blade or is it ATS-34 my question is, can this be sharpened?

I question if the blade is a cutlery steel at all. Trainers need high shock and ductility, so a hard blade prone to breakage is a disadvantage - also meaning, a springy heat treat with a 48RC temper.

Does anyone know for a fact what that trainer blade is and how it was tempered?

How will a sharpened trainer be interpreted in a training area? Will LEO's find it an obviously collectable item for the PD showcase of improvised weapons?

I have one sharpened and truthfully it SUCKS! keepem sharp
