Buck/Strider

The Buck Striders are garbage. The one I had used a cheesy thin liner that wore out in months, but my Vantage did the same. The Vantage at least has some quality aspects, but the Strider colab I had was outclassed by just about anything. I thought Strider was cool at the time, but I guess sometimes you have to learn the hard way.

The onoy thing on the 0300 Mick Strider designed were the grips. The rest was all Ken Onion. Mick Strider had no input on the 0350. Ken Onion has a picture of the 0300 prototype on his website from before Strider was involved with the design. KAI mostly used his name for marketing back before everyone knew about the stolen valor and Strider's name had more credibility to it.

So you were let down by Buck thinking you might get the quality of a real Strider at a fraction of the cost. Fair enough.

i Have one if interested ,,, they are cool...nice knife and price keeps climbing on them,,,striders are a little beefier but these make a nice start for the price point!

Strider lied about his military career, he's one of those stolen valor guys as a vet I don't wanna own nothing he's made.

Cool, thanks for sharing. Do you have anything that actually contributes to the thread? No? Then go away!

To the OP:

I've handled a bunch of Striders, and IMO the SMF feels better than the SNG in hand. But the SNG is more pocket friendly.

I never said I expected Strider quality....... Just some quality at all, which that knife lacked for anything even a third of it's price. It was a terrible knife no matter who's name was attached to it.

I'm not one of those Strider haters whose saying strider knives aren't good, I want one myself but I'm not going to buy one because of Mick Strider. I am contributing to the thread, it's been said a salesman doesn't sell you the product but himself. Mick Striders a dirt bag and a dirtbag is who you're giving money to if you buy his products. People don't buy things from business for a ton of reasons, sometimes the business supports a political party they don't like, or takes a moral stance on some issue they disagree with, pays their workers to little, or has them work unfair hours. All I'm saying is before you buy a strider know that beyond lying about his military career Mick Strider has harmed America citizens in the form of armed robbery, and that's who your doing business with. Now if you wanna give him your money that's fine, I just want you to know that about him.

If I were to buy any Buck/Strider product, it would have to be something from the 880/881 line.
