Buck Tins : Sell Un Opened?

I never sell so that is why I asked for some advise. I am a big collector of Buck and other brands, but I never sell. The few times someone has begged me for a knife I had a few of, I sold it for what I paid for it. That said, I recently at age 62 decided to help my son out with his new baby and let him sell a few for profit. My girl friend has a few bills I wanted to help with also so I gave her some to sell. Since this is a different reason for selling, I wanted to get a fair price based on what I see them selling for. I hesitated asking this as I knew there would be a mixed response to my question here ( been a member over 15+ years I know the comments ). Anyway thanks for the info.

Inexpensive and high production numbers… even pristine they aren’t worth a ton more than when new. My vote is open & enjoy. Sitting on something 20 years to make $20 or $30 on it just isn’t fun for me at least, unless you have 200 of them.

If I had a pile of them, they’d go at auction as singles for starting price just below what a new 110 costs. Duplicates of those would be available for higher “buy it now” price.

Offering the more desirable ones here in groups of 2-4 at fair prices would likely move some as well.

Even folks on Ebay look for a good price. I think the few that sell high is from buyers who just won't spend the time to find a better deal. Some folks have more money than time and of course the other way too. Try a single 30 day listing starting at 45.00 and see how it goes. 15% Ebay and PayPal fees is a big chunk tho..
