buck vantage force pro or zt 0700

I agree with the fellas saying 0566. It's a tough as nails flipper that you can beat on on get good continued results. I had a 0700, and if it's a flipper your looking for it didn't flip as well as it would seem, the thumb stud was always my go-to.

I've got a Buck Vantage something, the one where the bolster is the lock, and one of the scale screws fell out after less than a week of carry and I couldn't find it, it's been sitting ever since.

Kershaw Knockout is a flipper with a frame lock. 14c28N High flat grind blade. I haven't gotten one though because I've been plenty happy with my Kershaw R.A.M. It can do hard work despite its fragile appearing high hollow grind. If you find a R.A.M. It's worth some consideration too. Good luck!

Cutlerykid, are you still around? Did you make a decision already?

That ZT is ugly as sin. As for the Vantage, I'd get one (you can go for the more economical Select models) and form my own opinion of it. I have two and they were both fine. It may take a little tuning up, but you end up with a good user.

I EDC a ZT 0700. I have held and played with the vantage pro but it was a little too small for me. 0 blade play, perfect centering, and one of the smoothest flippers I've handled (the 0700). I have EDC'd the 0700 since October and have never had to even touch it up. I've used it to split 3 inch diameter foot long wooden logs and then carved spoons and wooden toys for my children with it and it is still shaving sharp. Opened numerous letters and cut up 5-10 cardboard boxes per garbage day. I love the knife and it is worth the extra $20.
