Buck Vantage Force Pro!

Post 15 gives my true honest past experience of a blade closing and cutting me due to a knock on the spine.

Ok. If that's all you got, I won't press further. But it's a story full of holes, illogical, and should be embellished differently next time. This thread will eventually get lost in time, and you'll have a chance to re-tell the story differently. But, when that happens, make sure you tell everyone that you were "pulling" weeds, and not cutting them with a knife. Also, tell them that you hit a stone (actually, tell them it was a rock.. stones are too small) that was heavy enough to project a large downward force while you were drawing the blade at ____ degrees. Also tell them you got cut because you decided not to wear any gardening gloves that day. All that just might actually have a shot at seeming somewhat credible. I promise if I run into your new story, I won't call you out.

However, I fixed it and it is now a proud beater knife of the winner of the arm wrestling competition.

My first modern "tactical" folder was a Buck Voyager back in '99. Been eyeing these to be as a beater too.

Curious how you went about repairing it (i.e. - disassembled and then re-bent the liner? etc.)

I roughened up the tang where the liner hits. It was real shiny. I also tightened the frame screws. The lock did not slip after that.

Got it. I recall a thread sometime ago on a wonky model (not sure if it was a Select or an Avid) illustrating how adjustment was needed for the frame screws.
