Buck Vantage Select is way better than I expected.

Okay, I'll try to avoid knife fights with pitbulls. Thanks for the tip.

What about that pitbull that is ripping your calf muscle off? You have faith in that pos lock?

Probably the reason I am glad I carry a gun for self defense rather than a 3.25in bladed knife. But you seem intent on ripping on the knife in a thread praising it, so have fun.

Bought one at a knife show simply because personal ergonomics were a hit ( the great thing about knife shows - you can actually handle knives - saves a lot of buy and discard cycles) and fit and finish were flawless - that one was so nice I decided I couldn't bear to mark it up - so bought a blister pack BOTL for 20 bucks - nothing wrong with that one either. Clip is great and these are made in the USA and inexpensive quality knives - a pretty good trick.

love my Vantage Pro, going to get the 2011 version of the smaller one. Did you get the Force Select or the regular one (black blade)

I liked mine until it failed a spine wack. Buck doesn't know how to make liner locks...

i just gave my vantage select five moderate spine whacks, the knife didn't even flinch. if a dog should ever be ripping my calf apart and i have my vantage on me, i would feel confident that it would serve me well.

instead of throwing an entire model of knife under the bus, first consider that maybe it's just your particular knife that has a problem.
