Buck Warranty

Razor posted the "knives of old" those were 440C.
The newer (199?'s)110's have 420HC.

I'm not testing, but just from casual use I think I would disagree with him then...I think Buck 440C (the steel; not the edge geometry) is superior to Buck 420HC...in both sharpness and edge retention...

What do you think??? :)

The steel; not the edge...(if you're sharpening both to new/same specs, then that should be a true test)...

I'm still searching for a steel that will resist the accumulation of adhesive that cutting Nylon reinforced shipping tape leaves behind... :)

APM - Will Wenger repair (rather than replace) the knive if you so request??? I've never done it, but I do have a 119 that has 'special significance' to me (inscription on scale) that I would like to get [blade] refinished...Joe Houser has assured me that his people can do so and still retain any 'special features' that I would not like removed...

Will Wenger do the same for a sentimental SAK, for instance???
