Buck Zipper with ATS-34 and BG-42

He paints his face like a clown and then fondles them while singing catchy jingles.

What do you do with all your knives? :D

Actually, I think it was the display's fault. He couldn't just leave a slot blank, now could he?

Well, that's a good point. I will box one and if I get another of the same, I'll EDC it.
I don't have five of anything. By Friday, the boxers either get turned inside out or get washed...

I do hate to see an empty slot in a display:eek:

So does this mean that I can send Tom my old 691 Zipper and he will do a blade swap in BG-42?? :D

I dug up some info from the computer that may help. In 2005 we did about 650 of the 691sp9 for Bass Pro. BG-42 blades.

In 2000-2004 we did less than 2000 of the 691sp1 for Bass Pro with ATS-34 blades.

So that means that if you are lucky enough to have one you have a dilema on your hands. Do you actually use the knife or put it in the collection? :D

Nope no dilemma Joe,
They both go to the collection :D
I am sure that I have enough "fancy Steel" 110's to use now :D
I will keep the Zippers safe :D

What about if you are lucky enough to have 5 though? :D

Then one would be a user :D
Thanks for your help in this matter Joe and Tom!!!!!! It made my decision easy!!
Thank you too Guyon :D[/QUOTE

I'm happy today, i found another zipper bg-42 so i have 6:D 5 to put up and 1 user:p and i also found 2 with ats=34 ;)

Thanks Joe. I didn't realize the ATS-34 run spanned five years, but still that's less than 400 per year.

Why did I sell Jim that knife again? :D :D :D

Resurrecting this thread to ask...

Were there Vanguards as well that were made in the BG-42 run? Or was it just the Zippers?

Would love to find a BG-42 Vanguard if they were made...

I have a vangard too, wish it was in either of the upgraded steels. Either of you have a spare user knife in a plain vangard, let me know....

The only one I know of and have is an Overrun Master Series it its BG42 and has the smooth green handle

I found pics of a Master Series knife that sold back in December. Looks like it had checkered green handles.

Yeah, the pics I found look different. I'll post one when I get home. Don't even know if I could locate the page again all that easily. It was an expired eBay auction that I found via a cached page on Google. Pics were still up though, and I copied them.

Here are those pics.
