Buck_110 Hooked Me Up

Very nice Armand. That's the same knife design and handle treatment given to the Harley Ultra Series. It has a similar insert on the back side.

Thanks Dave, its does look like the Harley knives... I wish I had the key to look at it...

Actually, I'm letting them all go. I've collected 110s and 110 variants forever. There are only two I was unable to obtain N.I.B. Now, it's time for fixed blade knives!

Wow......that's a big, big change.

Will you have to change your name?

:D

The scales are solid walnut. Buck now calls them 'heritage walnut'.

They were produced in 1986 to celebrate Colt's 150th(double diamond) anniversary. The standard versions have brass frames with brass scale rivets. The nickel silver frame with stainless scale rivets isn't even known to exist.

Good info, I was thinking the heritage was laminate from some pics I have seen. thanks 110.

theres Buck knives on the Auto Ordnance site....i m gonna have to get one to compliment my AO M1 Carbine when it gets here. kinda off topic, but wasnt it Case that made a complete Ruger series a few years ago? sorry guys, i didnt mean to offend with the mention of another brand.:o .... and for your info...im a Ruger fanatic, and didnt buy a single one.

Ok I'll add a little Buck/Colt production knife history as I know it.

1984 Buck issued a limited edition Duke 500 called "Colt Firearms", 350 of these were issued. They have Orange wood handle with a Medallion inset, and gold etch blade. Note: in 1986 a reorder of this knife was made for 300 more knives I was sent some info that the re-order may have been for 1000. I saw an old auction that had one of the re-order 500's and the back of the blade was etched ###/1000, so it looks like the data on the re-order Colt duke needs to be corrected on the BCCI LE/SO list.

1986 Buck issued a limited edition 110 called "Colt Firearms", Sorry I have no idea how many of these were made, Brass frame, and were to have Ebony wood handles (I have never seen one with Ebony), gold etch blade. As Buck_110 said the one in the photo has solid walnut handles.

1986 Buck issued a limited edition 124 called "Colt Firearms Factory", It is estimated that only 40 of these were made, Stag handle, gold etch blade.

There is also a 124 that only 4 samples were made in 1986 and sports a gold etch of Sam Colt, Ivory handles. Then the Colt knife ITE posted, Info on this one?
