Buckeye Bowie- My best one yet!!

That is a beautiful package Ray. Any chance of a side pic of the handle so I can see how the frame contrasts with the buckeye?

Ray, That is real class. Rarely have I seen a piece so well thought out. The frog really makes a statement.
I may have to have one of those--after Christmas:-).

I will admit since joining BF I have gone nuts myself.

That last picture shows an interesting feature on the handle what is the black slab of material the length of the handle?
 
SpearZ, that is a piece of plain black micarta that frames the tang and sandwiched by the buckeye scales. They are epoxied and pinned to each other and to the brass spacer next to the guard. The frame and scales make a very snug fit to the tang and with JB Weld is absolutely solid.
