Hi all, here is a fighter dressed in wrought iron. The blade is forged. The damascus is made by me and is 456 layers of 1084-1075-15n20. I pressed a slanted ladder pattern into the billet and then forged it flat. The handle is buckeye burl provided by Burl Source, thanks again. The spacer is blue dyed maple burl and sandwiched with black vulcanized fiber material. This one will be going with me to the Ohio Classic Knife Show in a few weeks. I have been busy trying to get everything done and I will be pushing it:) The arrowhead is a Flint Ridge Hopewell found by me during a heck of a thunderstorm a couple of years back. The arrowhead is 3 3/4" and translucent when held up to the light:D Thanks to all for looking. -Burton

Thanks a lot Todd. Thanks for reminding me Matt, the sheaths are what I am hoping I get done in time for the show. I actually met a guy today at a local harvest festival that was an old leather worker and he told me that he has made several sheaths over the years for local knife makers and I thought about it for a minute. The guy was real nice and at 82 years old he had some tricks up his sleeve when it came to leather working. He gave me his card and told me that anytime I had questions to give him a call. I like to make all my sheaths so I am just going to have to buckle down:) Pics of the sheath will make it on here once done.

Excellent looking knife!
I really like the way you kept everything in different shades of gray.

I like the way the damascus turned out Burton. The rest of the knife goes well with the blade by the way.

Nice pic:thumbup:

Thanks Mark, I really appreciate the kind words. Fred, thanks to you also. I agree that this picture turned out nice, much better than the last one I posted.

That really turned out nice. I am not a real damascus junkie but the merriment of the materials really works on that one!

Looks nice Burton, excellent choice of colors and blending.
The blade looks very well balanced and shaped, along with even flow across the back.
Good choice of steel combination for the contrast in the pattern.
Hope to get to see it in real life at the show before it sells!!!!

Thanks I hope it sells:) I was going to give you a call today but didn't get a chance to. I will be in touch hopefully before the show. I have been real busy as I am sure you are also.

Burton, some Dove gray leather would really fit the color scheme.
I looked thru my stash, but didn't have any gray.
Good luck with your show.
