This is one of my listings on e-bay (bladenknives).

This BUSH STYLE BLADE is made of 5/32" thick 01 TOOL STEEL bar stock. Each Von Hagen knife blade has been Rockwell Hardness Tested and has been tempered and bench tested to assure the perfect hardness -- not too hard as to chip but not too soft as not to be able to hold an edge. The FULL TAPERED TANG knife is 9" long. The 4 1/4" blade has a FLAT GRIND. The BLACK VULCANIZED SPACER adds a nice highlight to the BUCKEYE BURL HANDLE.

Because the handle is pinless, there is nothing to distract from the beautiful patterns in the wood. The handle is securely held in place with three (3) anchors, at 3/8" each, that have been milled and keywayed. This, along with the epoxy that bonds tight and causes a fusion, will assure that the handle will not come loose or break apart with normal, everyday use.

Thanks for looking,
Rick

That buckeye looks awesome, goes well with the steel. I love Buckeye and the stuff you get looks gorgeous man.

Many thanks. Buckeye is one of my absolute favorite woods. I love the patterns, the colors, the variations...

I have been very lucky most of the time when it comes to Buckeye. I usually buy my woods in blocks and you have no idea what is going on beyond the surface. I do, however, look for pieces that are unusual and have inclusions and defects. Through much experimentation and trials, I have taught myself how to work with stuff that a lot of knife makers would run from. Because of this I don't have to look for perfection in the popular sense, I just look for what jumps out to me and I find beautiful.

Thank you again.
