Bucklite Max, pics, "neon" orange scales

I really like the knife and I think I would be able to keep up with one in that color! So I dropped the hammer one this am and will be patiently waiting for it's arrival. Pretty decent price for a good looking knife.

The color: I asked my older son what color he thought it was, "peach" he said. I asked my younger son, "reddish side of orange" was his response. I asked my wife, "It has some pink in it" was her comment. It is orange to my eyes but then I knew it was supposed to be orange because Buck said it was orange.

Good choice. It is such a bargain that it is hard not to buy.

I saw these things show up recently at a couple of sites. I like the B&C and the orange better than the black. I've always liked the 440 and older 420 series bucklites much better but may have to get an orange one or two.

If you get two then when you show it to someone who covets it then you will have a spare. :D

Well the Max has arrived! My initial impression is that this is a real bargin, aprox. $ 26.00 delivered. How can you not like this Buck 420HC Bos goodness for the price! The grip is comfy and it locks like a vault. The color...well...it looks like a cross between orange and pink. I still like it and will be able to see it with no issues, if it hits the forest floor during hunting season. A winner for Buck!
Knife on top of my Stihl, which is actually what I consider orange & with two others for size reference.

Bought a pair off another member here.

Expected more of a "hunter safety orange" rather than the salmon/pink. Not unhappy, just taking a little getting used to I guess.

Great for a user/camp knife which is my plan for mine. Shouldn't be able to loose them that easy. Will also be great for my boys when they get old enough to be trusted with a knife, if they lay it down I should be able to find it easier than the black ones.

Great bargain on a great knife. I have the black one but I think I like this a bit more if nothing else for being different.

i would like to put that blade in a brass 110 frame
but looks like a great work camp knife!!!
i need to try one out..some day..

Ok, so the Wife sees the 112 sized one last night sitting on my dresser.

Starts with "that's nice (sarcarstic), what color is that? Sienne? Salmon? Home Depot orange? Let's stick with Home Depot orange she closes with"

I still like it but wanted to share the abuse I took on behalf of Buck :)

Dave, Yes, I also would like to see that style blade in a 112/110 brass frame.
