Bucklite with broken tip

I recently broke the tip off my early Nineties model Bucklite and have been told that they are not guaranteed for life like the older 110 models. Is this true? I've had my father and older brother return 110's for repair. One was just worn out after hard use and the other's tip was broken due to misuse. Both were repaired by the company.

It IS guaranteed. Send it in and we will either replace the blade or replace the knife.
