Buck's 110.....Why still so highly respected?

I've gotten hooked on 110's, especially with an upgraded steel, or with the BuckCote type blade. I usually have a one-handed opener of some sort in my pocket, and a 110 on my belt, and invariably reach for the 110. It helps to work in an environment where ecentricities are expected (a computer shop).
Anyway, the 110 is the most solid, capable folding knife I've owned. I've cut down small trees with it, peel an orange with it most every day, and there is little in between I wouldn't tackle. I suppose if you are concerned about self-defense, a 110 isn't appropriate, but for anything else, I can't think of a more capable knife.
I personally wouldn't want a pocket clip, too heavy, and on my 560's (close cousin to the 110) I've put one-armed bandits, which are after-market thumb studs.
As someone pointed out, you can get a custom-made 110 with BG-42 steel, for < $100. You can't beat it!

Actually, there's a new one since that picture was taken, with brass bolster, Koa wood handle, and BG-42 blade! I just ordered one for my son, as a present for his Eagle Court of Honor, which will have a damascus blade, cherrywood handles, and Nickle Silver bolsters. Can't wait to see it!
Regarding which one to carry, it rotates, but I have some favorites. The Koa is a current favorite, as is the damascus/oak. Buck's damascus is not the most beautifully patterned I've ever seen, but it's made a great steel to use. Today, for some reason, I picked up the buffalo horn/damascus.
My only problem is I can't bring myself to carry the 532's. The sheath is a little large for the size of the knife, and I hate to put them in my pocket and get them all dinged up. I need to find a couple soft leather cases I can slip in my pocket.
